Japanese Soufflé Pancakes on Griddle Top
This was pretty cool, definitely something fun to cook with the kids/Family for the Holidays.
Ingredients: (Makes 4 to 5 Pancakes)
- 3 Eggs (small)
- 2 Tbsp Milk
- 1/4 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 45g or 1/2 Cup of All-Purpose Flour
- 1/2 tsp Baking Powder
- 3 Tbsp Sugar
- Cooking oil
Directions:
In a bowl, separate the egg yolk and white
Add vanilla extract and milk into the yolk and mix well
Sift flour and baking powder and mix it until it’s without lumps
Make the meringue by adding sugar 3 times, whip until stiff peaks
Add the meringue into the batter and mix it gently
In low flame, bake for about 3 minutes and flip, repeat the process
Enjoy with fresh fruits and maple syrup
